Exploring dilemmas and solutions to strengthen the ASYE
Tuesday 15 October 2024
10:30-15:00 via Zoom
Taking the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) path is a positive route to excellence in practice but it’s not always a smooth one. At this virtual event we’ll explore some of the complexities and dilemmas of the journey that newly qualified social workers (NQSWs), assessors and ASYE teams may experience.
We’ll also be:
- sharing experiences
- looking at scenarios
- working on solutions to strengthen the ASYE
- building a solid foundation for the next stage in the development of social work practitioners.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Caroline Emmer De Albuquerque Green, Director of Research and Head of Engagement, Institute of Ethics in AI at University of Oxford. Catherine will talk about the ethical use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) within social work and ASYE.
The event is a great opportunity to hear about the latest developments including the first ever Workforce Strategy for Social Care that was launched by ΢΢²ÝÊÓƵ on 18 July.
The event is for ASYE co-ordinators, principal social workers or equivalent senior manager roles. It may also be of interest to ASYE assessors working with NQSWs.
